Afforma: Curated Intelligence
Afforma delivers curated intelligence through user-centered design and an intuitive user interface. It provides users with an intuitive interface with full stack tooling for design, development, and deployment of complex data integrations and solutions. Delivered in the cloud or on premises, the solution is highly extensible to include workflow and AI/ML components. While Afforma’s use cases are truly limitless, it’s commonly deployed for maintenance management, workflow management, and predictive analytics.
Afforma Capabilities
Curated Intelligence
We create intuitive user interfaces from disparate data, delivering tools that people want to use.
Workflow Management
We automate and streamline manual processes with IT-enabled workflow solutions.
Data + Network Management
We leverage a proven data science methodology (CRISP-DM) to organize data for advanced data science and AI/ML initiatives in cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
Case Studies
SHOPMAN
Supply Hub for Operational Predictive Maintenance & Analytics
Conditions Based Maintenance (CBM+) analytics solution for the U.S. Air Force that improves system availability, enhances operational readiness, and reduces lifecycle costs by displaying instant key performance metrics (KPM’s) in an intuitive and user-friendly interface. SHOPMAN reduces sustainment costs by decreasing the likelihood of unnecessary orders and maintenance and it improves warfighter readiness by implementing CBM+ the way it was envisioned.
SHIPMATE
Secure Hyper Intelligent Predictive Maintenance Analytics with Tactical Enhancements
In 2022, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) stated that increasing the transparency of maintenance reporting data on U.S. Navy ships could save American taxpayers $1.8 Billion. Colvin Run Networks was utilized to create a Project Management Decision Aide (PMDA) that provided intuitive real-time depictions of work in progress, a common operating picture across multiple ships to enhance decision making, and a single authoritative source for work item status and activities at a granular, actionable level.
MSTIC OTA’s
App development on Microsoft 365/Azure/Jira.
Using the CRISP-DM method to produce mission-driven analytical solutions, Colvin Run Networks supported the U.S. Navy by developing a disciplined, rapid enterprise approach to application development on Flank Speed, Navy’s Microsoft DOD 365 implementation. The engagement reduced manual data-driven burdens related to processing a variety of workflow.
CAMBER
Co-Pilot Analytics for Maintenance and Better Efficiency in Reporting
CAMBER is a Generative AI/ML solution powered by Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) capabilities that revolutionizes the way operators work by automating the consumption of thousands technical documents, creating a conversational platform for maintenance and sustainment missions. By providing quick and effortless retrieval of answers to complex queries and relevant information, CAMBER enables maintainers to be more efficient an increases overall operational readiness.
WARRIOR AI
Warfighter Readiness and Intelligent Operational Resilience with Artificial Intelligence
Colvin Run Networks worked with the U.S. Navy to develop an advanced AI-driven solution designed to enhance military training by rapidly generating integration for enhanced scenarios, faster feedback, and better system performance. This project integrated the powerful AI development platform from Microsoft Azure, the latest methodologies from the University of Colorado Boulder Information Science, and expert insights from Navy subject matter experts.
TOKALABS
Hybrid Network Sandboxing Through Software Defined Labs (SDL’s)
The U.S. Air Force wanted to eliminate tedious configuration and physical rewiring necessary to allow its cyber warfare students to train, experiment, and test without destroying the lab’s topologies and configurations. Colvin Run partnered with Tokalabs to create SDLs for the 223rd COS’ cyber defense training that eliminated the need for manual configuration and physical re-cabling. Instructors used the Tokalabs SDL Controller to create cyber simulation sandboxes from physical and virtual infrastructure, and students reserved sandboxes using the SDL scheduler and experiment without impacting configurations or topologies.
IRONCLAD
Integrated Resilient Operations for Naval Cloud and AI Deployments
To meet the U.S. Navy’s urgent requirement to establish resilient data transport capabilities in critical OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) locations, Colvin Run Networks leveraged advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities to create a secure, scalable multi-cloud environment. The IRONCLAD initiative supports digital transformation, and the integration of advanced technologies such as hybrid IT cloud computing, DevSecOps, and AI/ML software delivery at scale and speed.
